Hi

Was wondering if anyone uses one of these?

Seems very cheap, but need one on a tight budget!

Would probably work on a battery but looking at the mains plug it looks like a round 2 pin to me  :-\
Does look very basic though

On reflection

Random black box from Poland, no English writing, no CE mark ...... Rain ..... Electricity.....Children  and other stock....... Maybe not!

I have one of these for the poultry and Mr fox does not like it one bit, would those who know more than I do think it would keep some cattle from reaching over abd eating the garden down a 100 M run of stock fencing?

Not sure if 0.6 J is a bit puny?

Thanks again

A neighbour had all is barn burned to the ground complete with all his tractors and equipment. They were worried about arson but they think it was the mains energiser. Fortunately NFU have been quick to pay out but if it was me I would pay the extra for a UK sold one. I treated my self to an all singing dancing one that you can switch off remotely, tells you when the power goes off  or the voltage is down. Not cheap but when you do not live on site its been a godsend.

Moel, I think your "on reflection" comment is pretty much spot on. We use energisers for poultry/pigs/lambs and have 4 of these units. Very pleased with and happy to recommend.
