Does anyone sell goats milk (for pets use ), been having someone asking and I don't know how much to charge.
milk would be same day, unpasteurised, possibly in the large jar I strain milk into, then I put it in the freezer to chill quickly. about 3Ltrs at a time. (I would be expecting to get the jar back!), just thought she could then freeze it in amounts she wanted it.
would appreciate some idea fairly quick so I can phone her and get todays to her.

Someone gets it off us for their greyhound puppies. We charge £1 a ltr  and put it into plastic bags for them

£1 a litre here for local puppies/kittens/lambs etc

£1 / litre just cos it's a convenient figure and saves messing with change.

£1 a litre seemed a nice round figure to me as well, she hasn't responded to my email suggesting that yet, probably wanted it for nothing  .
She did suggest £6 a kilo for a joint of goat meat, that didn't sound very much up to what I've seen online, maybe she thinks because I'm not in it for a business I'll give stuff away!

often the case.... we now rarely sell anything, but prefer to barter.

People seem to think if you rear/produce it yourself it doesn't cost you anything. As we know, there's not only the cost of feeding stock or buying seeds, there are hours and hours of labour involved.

Yepits called Farming Farmrs are supposed to give it away for nothing or else they are called greedy, others subsidise £'s on fancy housing for one animal another fortune on vets fees,expect to have the animal for nothing ad think profit is a dirty word

dont sell the meat cheap as it will be hard to put the price up later.

Absolutely. If anything, it should be dearer than a butcher charges as the goat will have had a happy life.
