Normandy - Saturday September 5th
« on: July 30, 2009, 08:45:45 am »
For anyone on TAS popping over to France for the weekend on this date;  if you are in the Normandy area be welcome to come to our smallholding for the day. (Nr Brecey - post code 50370). We are having a big event - The Normandy Experience representing all things good in Normandy and bringing together the French and English community.

Our smallholder group Petites Fermiers is hosting the event, and the response so far has been wonderful.  We have loads of stalls represented from small Enterprises both French and English, to crafts people running their own stalls also - there is always room for more crafty people though!   There are lots of activities going on during the day for both adults and children.

We have caterers coming providing food right throughout the day including lunch, English High Teas including cream teas and cakes at 4pm, and during the evening there will be curry provided. We have confirmed a French guy who sings John Lennon songs to entertain us later in the evening, and hopefully a folk band, who are still thinking about it, for the early evening. Early evening there will be a pub quiz also and for the brave a bit of Karaoke going on.

There will be dog grooming, a 'Talk Sheep' area; a lady with her Suffolk Sheep, and various piggy bits going on.

We even have a qwik cuts and nail bar running through the day!

One area we are struggling with at the moment is a children's entertainer.  If there is anyone looking in from France who hasn't seen my postings before and could be interested then please let me know, and if there is anyone interested in the UK who will be visiting the area at the time, and is interested, then perhaps you would like to get in touch.  A clown, magician, puppeteer, do you make balloon animals?  A desperate plea!  We have a face painter and activities for the kids, but in tune with the standard of the day, we would really like to push the boat out here, so any help greatly appreciated.

It would be great to welcome anyone from TAS so be welcome.!
