HUNG DUCKS

WHATS THE longest anyone has ever hung a duck , i useually hang for 1 to 2 weeks but this time i had to kill 6 so some got hung for 4 weeks... i hang them in a tall fridge i bought just for hanging, so pretty cold.

I thought game was hung for 3 weeks

I was told to hang for a couple of days by the farmer. I had to hang him (the drake  :() in the shed, it's too warm in there for longer just now.  :&>

thats correct 2 days in summer longer in winter, thats why i use an old fridge... wondered if meat ok after 4 weeks hanging in fridge ..it looks smells ok..

well i started to butcher these ducks on my outside slab and was instantly surronded by flies and wasps, i decided their sense of smell was superior to mine and abandened the idea. i will stick to 2 weeks in future as they have been fine , so tender.
