Well I have lost the thread that was about midge control but I made some with Cloves soaked in alcohol for a few days, added some citronella and mixed it with a bit of baby oil.....and it kept them off me....my husband went mad and refuses to put some on his head

He drank it instead , and is now sat in the garden , pissed as a fart , getting eaten alive !lol

we used to drink Whiskey with cloves and orange and that's the stuff the midges do not like,...

Fuuny thing we used to drink hot toddies all the time, I wonder if I drink them as well would they stay well out of my way? Steve would not let me put any on his bald head....I found it cooling
