On The Day Showing Assistance
« on: July 05, 2013, 08:51:53 am »
Hi All - Is there anyone out there that would enjoy helping me show my animals at the Lanark event. I would like to come down with sheep and goats but I can't be in two rings at the same time.

Last year OH looked after the goats but this year being that bit further away I plan to travel the day before and sleep in the vehicle and OH will have to look after the animals at home.

The goats are probably the easier set to walk to the ring as 2 out of 3 are pretty used to the lead and I'll work on the last one - promise.

Depending on the timing of your classes and whether or not my eldest gets her butt into gear and starts training her pigs  ::) she'd be happy to help you show the goats if you're stuck

I think both my girls will be coming, and the pygmy classes are separate from the dairy ones, they would love to take some of yours... after all they still remember them from being next to ours last year... :-J  and escaping into our pens..

Thanks Dan, date noted in calendar.

Just realised that I have (possibly) 6 coloured kids to show  ...mmmh will need to ask for assistance too... but hopefully we will be able to work something out.

It's a style of stick top, like a swan neck. Cleek = hook.

So-called because it's good for hooking sheep's legs I guess!

Yes to the CAE testing Shygirl - I find it usually takes 7 - 10 days to get results so plenty of time
