Crofting on Skye
« on: June 22, 2013, 05:01:29 pm »
Hi, we just wanted to say hello. Well, early retirement has finally allowed us to realise our plans.  We have found our land and have just purchased a 13 acre croft on the Isle of Skye. It will take some time to get up and running as we are going to build a house on the croft and the land has  been neglected for many years.
Looking forward to getting to know others on here. Anyone else on here that's on Skye?

 welcome from Shropshire. I have a feeling there is someone else on Skye and I'm sure they'll pop up soon.

The best of luck I am so envious, Skye is the most wonderful place, have been on holiday to cottages at Broadfoot and Elgin and just think the island is great.

Hi Hamish and welcome to the forum. I have friends on the island- Nancy and Stuart Bell who have the post office at Glendale. They moved there about 5 years ago from the Midlands.
