Where do you stick the thermometer?
« on: March 15, 2008, 08:43:16 pm »
[Hello folks, I know this might sound like a stupid question but how do I go about checking the temperature of my lambs?  I suspect I know the answer.......... :-\

I'd appreciate your advice.

Thanks

and pushed very gently to one side against the rectal wall should give you an accurate temp; otherwise you may be measuring the temp of any faeces inside.............

Hopefully you will never have to use it....I have only once used one in more years than I care to remember on a lamb.

You can use other methods eg if a woozy lambs mouth is cold inside it has hypothermia
