The wedding is on 29th and we will be heading to Cambridge on 24th. Our future daughter-in-law is a Cambridge girl. I have made the wedding cake - all four tiers of it - and this afternoon delivered it to the lady who is going to ice it for us. Sandy, it could be a nice side-line for someone. I wasn't going to bother with anything on my head but I was over ruled by my 'personal shopper'. At least my mother will approve. she's already told me she is wearing ' one of those little things with feathers'.
My son and the immediate wedding party will be wearing kilts (the men only) and my OH was horrified when I told him that all the men were expected to have kilts. "No way," he cried so I relented and told him it was only the best man and groomsmen as well as Richard. OH is wearing a three piece suit in grey with a very smart waistcoat. I've told him he has to have a new shirt and tie. He can't see the point as he rarely wears shirts and he 'already has ties'. Yes, about thirty year old ties and his shirts aren't much newer. He's having a new shirt and tie and that's that.
I'm thinking pink would go with the waistcoat but I might have to bend the truth about the colour a bit. Just as well he's blind and has to take my word for it.
I'm very excited now.
I will post piccies.
