Chicken laying eggs with no shell!
« on: June 10, 2013, 12:53:19 pm »
My 2 chickens have gone off laying (this is their second laying year) and now one is laying an egg a day without any shell - can someone tell me what's going wrong. They have tonic in their water and have oyster shell everyday

try worming, chicken spice in the food, cider vinegar in the water, sunflower seeds for a treat, a few sultanas, let them out for a bit to break the boredom, have they skitty bums  ???  may help to know the breed, someone may know if it's a breed specific thing.

Always worth worming for most things if you think you haven't done it for a bit, are they eating ok?
registered soay, castlemilk moorit  and north ronaldsay sheep, pygmy goats, steinbacher geese, muscovy ducks, various hens, lots of visiting mallards, a naughty border collie, a puss and a couple of guinea pigs
