The ducks seem to think there is something better in the hens run by the way they keep peeping through the wire. Its great to see ex batts/barn/fr hens recovering so well, just one or two bare and pink bahookies but looking so relaxed and happy.
Hoping to get a couple more ex batts in the summer from our friend Kathryn at Homes4Hens, just a bit more work to do to find them a spot to settle in for the 1st week away from the rest of the flock.

They do look contented little chooks. I hope they are rewarding you with some eggs already. Love your ducks too!

They look so happy being able to do what hens do naturally. Love the ducks as well.

isn't it lovely, giving something that  had a crap start a break.... (not the ducks) maybe i am getting soft in my old age ...

nothing more rewarding than having a few chooks gather around you after a hard days work ....and then seeing how well they are getting on    then giving you the best eggs you have tasted in years
