I love Burmese mountain dogs as well,  it must have been abandoned or run off I suppose, poor thing is now injured but it  had to be, just a shame the shot did not put the poor dog out of its misery. They are big dogs so could certainly do lots of damage :'(

What a shame.  :gloomy: The Bernese is not an aggressive breed - they are general farm dogs, originating in the Swiss Alps, (Berne!) and used for shepherding.  I know a great number of them as I have friends who breed them and every one is a big soft cuddly lump.  I suspect the aggressiveness started as hunger after getting lost and is now fear. I hope they end it's misery quickly.  So sorry for it's owner.
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age

Poor dog. It must have been driven by desperation. Trouble is that once a dog has killed sheep, it'll probably do it again. I hope they find him soon and put him out of his misery.
