Rescue help please
« on: June 04, 2013, 12:48:39 pm »
Our Club  have been landed with a couple of Spanish rescue Brittanys - they were in what they curiously call a 'Kill Shelter' - an anachronism if ever I heard one.  The Spanish are not known for sympathy to dogs -  chuck them out when they've done with them.      So the strays are rounded up and put in these shelters till it's time for them to be euthanased - usually a few days.  Rescue organisations go over from other countries to try to save some of them and these two were taken here and we were asked to find homes for them.  They are about 2 years old but are not related or together other than in the kennel.

If anyone can foster or help with their daily kennel fees of £16 per day please contact our new rescue coordinator, Jan Taylor

Is there a facebook page for these?  It's so easy to share on fb and spread the work quickly.  Brits make fab agility dogs and it would be good to advertise in that community.

I find Britannies fascinating in all their different guises - the orange and white one looks like an Irish R&W setter with its tail docked!
