Ooooooh i had forgotten how bad the pecking order can be..... little chid who was a bit docile seems to have plucked up a bit now... but i get the feeling she is bottom of the order

anyway..as promised a short vid..nothing special..due to weather...

They look grand. They'll soon have all their feathers back! They seem to have made themselves at home already! Hope you start getting a great supply of eggs very soon.

I remember seeing a few of mine laying on thier sides, I thought they were dead but they had made dust holes and were sun bathing...I downsized a while ago now but mine did very well, lovely birds and so tame!!

I never did and they still picked up very quickly, although most of my ex battery hens were in not bad shape, 2 were fat birds (like me) I do give additional naughty treats to them though!! They also eat loads and loads!

I think chickens are the easiest and most rewarding farm animal, it you have the right set up they are almost trouble free......I would love some fancy ones but waiting to see where we move to...looking forward to some photos!!! Funny how battery farmed hens have so strong charactors...I miss my Big sandy, I re homed her, she used to sit near the gate waiting for me....slightly smaller sandy :innocent:

Its very touching indeed to see then enjoying the freedom.....I had 2 cocky ones that use to run everywhere, I called them the 2 Jimmies, then big Sandy was so lovely and tame...very interesting that they have such diverse charactors after being farmed in a cage!!
