Hi. Looking for help. Have two 10 day old lambs. Both fed 1st feed by mum then ignored so were bottle fed on goats milk to start with. When i bought them at 4 days old transfered them to sma sheperdess been fine four feeds a day 1.25 litres a day each. Yesterday Dylan went off his feeds, this morning he has runny clear to browny poo. He is still jumping about n sociable but just seems off trembling a little so ive left t top half of t stable door closed as it is cold here today. I introduced creep feed hay n water yesterday n although theyve had a good sniff they just use the trugs to curl up n sleep in. They have clean straw in t stable n its a stone building so not draughty. Dolly is fine. I keep their bottles etc really clean n take hygiene seriously so just dont understand what ive done wrong. Any advice gratefully received. Hate seeing him like this. Ta

What is the lambs breathing like, does it sound rough or rasping. could be the change in feed or worms, a chill. Young lambs being hand reared can go down hill quickly.

Could be due to number of things as the lamb has had a stressful time in a very short life, with regard to both dietary changes and being moved around.  Also, you don't know how much colostrum the lambs actually received.  I would consult your vet asap.

Hi he does seem to be improving. Under advice of friendly local farmer have given a shot of penicillin and giving electrolyte feeds. His breathing is fine n he seems fairly happy - jumping about n asking for food now. Brought them both indoors n put near t range. So fingers x'd hes turned t corner. If no massive improvement by morning will ring fir t vet but it does look like hes getting there thanks for your replies
