First cuckoo

Was camping in the woods this weekend and was woken this morning by a very loud cuckoo. Spring is officially here! :)

I haven't heard a cuckoo for years.  (Need a jealous emoticon please Dan)

They haven't arrived in the Highlands yet, but we have them all summer.
So lovely to hear them but they do make a bit of a racket at times ;D

I haven't heard one yet, still waiting for Spring. Heard one early April last year so i think they're a bit late this year.

Haven't heard one here yet, although they are declining here :(
 
ETA:  Just checked last years records and I heard the first one on 3 May.

Reports of several calling birds on Skye and the wife heard one this morning too.
Fingers crossed for a beautiful spring through summer starting now!
