That's it.... Enough is enough!!!!

My dahlia tubers that have been sitting inside are going in the raised beds!!!!

It may well be too early. The ground may not be warm enough. There may be more frosts. But..... It's the middle of April and I'm just an impatient so and so.

Will be interesting to see how they do!

You're brave  :o   I looked at your blog to see whereabouts you are situated.  There is still snow under the hedge on my hill  :o

And I see you grew them from seed - do tell - how did you do it and where was the seed from etc etc.  I didnt know you could grow from seed, but of course you must be able to with the incredible variety available

To follow my travel journal see http://www.theworldismylobster.org.uk

Some from seeds the others tubers. Seeds are looking ill saving taken hem from a warm house to less warm greenhouse.

Bravery sometimes = foolishness.

Mine are in the ground still from last season. I have very well drained soil and they are in a bed right up against the house. But I may find that this winter has been too harsh ! Let's hope all that heat eascaping from my house has done some good !  :fc:

I dug 100 large tubers up to protect the,. Stored them in a shed out of the frost. Problem was it was too watertight... So last years seem to have all dried out. Anyone who has time to check and keep them damp has more time than me. Hence this year they will go in raised beds. They will be left and when the frost coma I will cover with hessian to protect.
