« on: April 03, 2013, 01:28:16 pm »
We are running a one day stick making course on Saturday 27th April in Palacerigg Country Park in Cumbernauld. The course will cover the tools, materials and techniques involved in making a traditional and modern style of walking, wading or shepherding stick. this will include treating and heating bone and antler for use as handles. It is being held in one of our purpose built wooden longhouses newly heated by our wood fuel boiler so quite toasty at this time of year!
Cost is £50 which includes all materials needed to complete your stick. Times are 930 - 430.
Contact the Visitor Centre on  01236 720047 to book your place. Spaces are limited so please book soon.
