worm egg counts

I'm thinking about worming. However no sheep have been grazed where we are for a few years and there are none in the area. I want to see about getting a worm egg count done first. Has anyone tried this/any advice to offer?

Yup, I do mine like that. OUr land hadn't had sheep on for 8 years; our sheep were wormed when they came, so I worm test every three months or so with Westgate Laboratories. First few tests were nil count; after they came back from tupping, we had a medium count, so they've been wormed with Verm X. Once they go on to a fresh paddock tomorrow, I'll get another test done (sure of having fresh poo!) and will decide on worming thereafter.
