Hi,

Can anyone tell me the best time to hatch goose eggs, so they are ready for eating at Christmas.

We do about 20-30 geese for Christmas each year and buy in day-olds in early May. Couldn't keep enough breeding stock to make hatching our own worthwhile.

Our geese are laying now, will sit throughout May and    hatch at the very end of May, then they're ready for Christmas.  Geese are not expensive to keep but you will have to have them 'processed' as oven ready which costs for will vary depending where you are and how many you are doing, averagely circa £6+ per goose where we are.

Thanks for the advice. I will try and source some eggs for hatching in a few weeks time then.
