Gardening Coordinator – Midlothian Growing Together Project Hours: 17.5 hours per week
Salary Info:  £18,441 (Pro rata) – 2 year fixed term contract
Location: Dalkeith, Midlothian
The Gardening Coordinator will be responsible for planning and developing a community garden and encouraging and supporting volunteers in gardening/environmental activities. Young people, people with mental health difficulties and other disadvantaged groups will particularly benefit from this supported volunteering opportunity. The project is funded by Scottish Natural Heritage.

We are looking for three motivated and driven individuals to join our established team.  You will work directly with community-led organisations, providing advice and guidance on Scottish Land Fund outcomes, priorities and the application process.  A key focus of the role is to support applicants to develop sustainable asset-based projects that will deliver lasting community benefit.
You will bring experience of project appraisal and development together with a strong interest in community-led development.  Ideally, you will have experience or knowledge of community ownership and/or the social enterprise sector.
You will actively promote the Scottish Land Fund throughout your area and adopt a client-focused approach that is both responsive and proactive with high standards of customer care.  You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will be able to travel extensively with some overnight stays away from home.

 Transitions Worker & Senior Housing Support Officer - Cantraybridge College Cantraybridge College in Croy was established to promote the skills and talents of young people with disabilities. They currently have two vacancies.
 
  • Transitions Worker - The Transitions Worker’s job is to support and empower young people with learning disabilities to reach their potential by creating appropriate and sustainable pathways for students coming to and moving on from Cantraybridge.
  • Senior Housing Support Worker - The Senior Housing Support Worker role is to provide support to housing support workers whilst also supporting adults with a learning disability and/or physical disability and/or mental ill-health to enable them to maintain their tenancy, to live their lives fully by supporting their goals and aspirations.

REAP is looking for Volunteer Directors to sit on its management boards to provide strategic governance and oversight to the organisation and its subsidiary.
REAP is a dynamic and independent, sustainable development charity based in Keith in the heart of the North East of Scotland working to promote community-led social enterprise and environmental initiatives. REAP also offers a professional consultancy service to clients who have research needs in line with REAP’s own overall aims.
REAP serves the Grampian Region - providing services in Moray, Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire - and is at an exciting stage in its development having just secured a further two years funding from the Climate Challenge Fund.
