Sheep and Chickens
« on: March 20, 2013, 06:16:12 pm »
I've recently put a few sheep in the chicken paddock, so far they seem to get on pretty well! We own a shop that has a bake off oven, so the waste bread at the end of the day would go to the chickens the next morning. Does anyone know if the sheep will be o.k to eat the bread too? For the time being we're trying to pen the sheep up just to keep them away from the bread in the mornings. Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

Our sheep love bread. I would think the only concern is if they were eating so much bread instead of their sheep feed, as it won't be as nutritional.
I can't imagine a bit of bread would do much harm.
Although the chickens might not get their share if the sheep get there first
