I bought a couple of lovely pedigree lop weiners and brought them home in a dog cage in the back of my car and they were scared and very tired so decided to house them in the chicken hut (huge brick built building) for a few days until they get used to us and get over the journey. Besides its warmer in there for them.
Well, I went in to them today and they didnt even raise their heads at me, just opened one eye each to acknowledge I was there, I stood looking at them for a while worrying that they may be ill and then fed them, it was an effort for them to get up and eat.
Son and I went to the pond with the buckets to water the stock and son shouted "Mum whats this pooh? Its not sheep, goose or badger?" I replied "Probably fox then" and carried on feeding and watering the stock.
30 mins later son comes up to me and calmly says "It was pig pooh Mum." And pointed at the 7 week old weiners running all over the field!!!!!
The little sods had got out at night, worn themselves out and let them selves back into the chicken pen without any evidence!!!
Now they have been moved and the chicken door is blocked!!!
