Hello from South Norfolk
« on: March 20, 2013, 07:07:06 am »
Hello - we are in South Norfolk and just got our first 2 Old Spots who are 11 weeks old.  We are looking for some Jacob sheep with lambs but not having too much luck.  Look forward to talking with everyone on the forum.

I think that may be the case - I am always drawn to black and white animals, although I do have one sable collie which rather spoils the effects!

Hi from West Suffolk. We've gone with the "noah" theme. 2 sheep,2 goats, 2 ponies, 2 dogs, 2 rabbits, 2 guinea pigs, but oops 3 cats  :excited:  welcome
So many ideas, not enough hours

Hello from East Norfolk, Lots of great people here.... with lots of experience & advice, I would be lost without this site!

This is now our second year with a smallholding, we rushed into trying to do too much last year and lost loads of money & gained loads of grey hairs.  :tired:    We're now at the point of cutting back & rethinking some of our plans but sticking with it.   Pigs & Turkeys are the best!
Sheep: North Ronaldsay & 4 Horned Hebridean - We also breed & exhibit 3 breeds of rabbit - Chinchilla, Deilenaar (rare breed) & Colour Pointed English Angora.

Thanks for the great welcome - good to know there are a few people nearby too.  We are both still working and have the luxury of not having to make money at the moment whilst we make our numerous mistakes!!  However, within the year we hope to have made the jump to smallholding/small farm fully.   :fc:
