Prices at Lanark Auction today 14March2013
« on: March 14, 2013, 08:22:39 pm »
Got very decent price for my Muscovy ducks and they sold to 2 lovely Muscovy lovers

Trio Chinese Geese looked very nice and went for £65
I bought 5 Welsummer pullets for £50 all with good legs
There were 5 hyline pullets went for £38

Most birds went for between £10 - £15 each, most around £12 mark.  Mostly a buyers market I would say but prices not so low that if you were selling you would go away depressed!

Except for a piggy whose un-weaned weaners that were sold separately from the mum, see Daisy's mum's post in pigs very sad.  Better selling your piggies privately or just give them away to someone who will look after them.

All in all, a good day out.  And very nice to meet you Cheviot

registered soay, castlemilk moorit  and north ronaldsay sheep, pygmy goats, steinbacher geese, muscovy ducks, various hens, lots of visiting mallards, a naughty border collie, a puss and a couple of guinea pigs
