Four Kune Kunes - Free
« on: March 14, 2013, 01:43:44 pm »
Long story short.  I took on four Kune Kune pigs from someone who's land was flooded.

I'm having a rough time at the moment and need to lighten my workload rapidly.

These pigs are looking for a home.  Two females and two castrated males.  Well behaved, friendly, respect electric fencing and will follow a bucket.

I think they are around 18 months old.

Please message me on here or I am Letterbox farm on FB.

Where are you?
We'll turn the dust to soil,
Turn the rust of hate back into passion.
It's not water into wine
But it's here, and it's happening.
Massive,
but passive.

Bring the peace back

18 month old kunes, would they not be better in your freezer than getting rid of them?

Sorry, yes I'm in Bromsgrove.

They probably would be better in the freezer, however I couldn't fit that much in and I can't find enough people to take the meat.

Is there anyone else around the area who'd go shares on this.

Leintwardine abattoir charge £50 for a 50kg pig kill and cut plus £1/kg over that.
They could take them next Tuesday 26th March or after Easter 9th April.

From here it would cost me about £70 in fuel to collect the pigs, drop them to Leintwardine, get home, then to go and collect the meat.

So can we find a solution and help out a fellow TASer.

PPF, would you be able to take them to an abattoir if there were people to buy the meat from you?

Sbom, which abattoirs that, it's the cheapest I've heard of.
