Want to swap?
« on: March 10, 2013, 12:58:20 pm »
Long shot - does anyone fancy swapping a 6 month old Silver Fox buck for a female (prefer standard rex or a meat breed)?
He was supposed to be a "she"  :dunce:
As far as I know he is purebred, I know nothing about showing, pedigrees, etc. He's a soft little soul, not quite tame enough for a small child to cuddle (just wriggly, never nipped or scratched).

Where abouts are you - and what colour is he?    I'm in Norfolk & probably miles away, but....
Sheep: North Ronaldsay & 4 Horned Hebridean - We also breed & exhibit 3 breeds of rabbit - Chinchilla, Deilenaar (rare breed) & Colour Pointed English Angora.

Near Northampton.
He's black with white flecks/silvering/white belly and paws... Here's a not-too-bad picture http://carrotandrabbit.files.wordpress.com/2013/03/dsci0036.jpg

Edit - though I know him as a silver fox, apparently the American silver fox is a different breed so over there he's a "silver marten" - if that makes a difference! Caused some initial confusion in my reading!

It's a shame you are so far away - My californian has just had a good litter of 7 and I'll have a couple to spare!

The meat rabbits all seem to be breeding really well at the moment, it's just the angora's that refuse to breed until the weather warms up!
