Hi, as a non voter  I know I know, I am just too cynical and think most politicians just do their own thing with a higher power £££££££ making them do something else, money rules not who is in no 10 in my opinion, not the particular politician, if I want unbiased info I think I would look on forums like facebook or here etc, to get both sides of the story and can double check for youself with press, TV and other net searches.    Anyway, even I would b em ore likely to vote if it were held on the net instead of polling stations, I could actually weigh things up logically and vote at my leasure, we can still use the numbers allocated, after all, car tax and banking etc are now on line!
What do others think of on line polls?

You won't get both sides of a story by reading the internet, you will get the views of those people who post on the internet - which is not a proper representation of society.
I would say that the internet is too insecure for recording poll votes; it could be fiddled far too easily.
Get off yer ass and get down the polling station!

I certainly wouldn't vote online - too insecure - at the moment anyway.  If they can guarantee it's security then I might reconsider.  I don't believe everything I read or hear wherever I see it, particularly Facebook, as that is just a place for people to slag off others and tell utter lies about them which some stupid people then believe as the truth.

I have ALWAYS voted - since I was entitled - every time without fail.  That is why the suffragettes suffered the way they did, so that I could have a vote.

AND I am laying my cards on the table - I will vote YES to Scottish Independence, not because I have anything against the English (or the Welsh or N Irish), but because I trust Scottish politicians 1000 times more than anyone down at Westminster.  I have seen Holyrood and all its system,s, checks and balances first hand, met a great number of MSPs and would be happy to trust them to do what is best for my country.

I hope Scotland votes for independance too, we've had all the oil out of the place lets stop paying for it now. Only shame will be the guys and girls who join the British Forces and will no longer fighting for there country but just a mercenary.

I think I have been mis read, I did not mean on Facebook but something like that, the internet has all the newspapers too, so you can get an all round view, I doubt many people buy lots of different newspapers, so buying and reading one can give more of a one sided view.
This is only a thread to get peoples views on how to vote as the current system is not working, I am not interested in political ones, I have my own reasons for not voting and nothing to do with the politics more the polititions.
How can online voteing be insecure but online banking, paying bills, Taxing or insuring your home car, buying stuff etc is?
Sabrina, you obviousely feel the same way as we do, we being me and my husband, there ARE people I would vote for but unfortunatly they would also be overshadowed by higher powers.

Happy I think we should be able to vote online, turn out is so poor how can a party say they have the right to rule if only 30% of the electorate turn up to vote. If the Internet gave more voters it would have to be a good thing

I agree. If I can't support anything that's on offer, I just invalidate my ticket, writing "none of the above". It's a certain kind of message, after all...

The thing is Dave , as soon as i am 'told' to vote  i am no longer in a democracy .
Anyhow , we are no longer in a democracy , we are in at best a demockery , but in fact a dictatorship run by 'unelected' commisioners , theives by any other name .
We have laws imposed upon us by people we have no control over at all .
 These laws are at best unlawful . At worst they are against the constitution of a once free country and it's people , therefore 'treasonous ' .
 The so called queen is aparty to this treason , she has broken the laws of her own country , forbears and the constitution she swore an oath to uphold and protect . She is a traitor to her country , her people and herself .
Politicians are just power greedy theives under total control of the real powers that be , the corporations and the bankers .
As a free man , I refuse to acquiesce , bow to , or understand (stand under) any of the corrupt unlawful , treasonous bodies that try to demand i do so . Also as a free man , i choose to give or withold my lawful right to vote .
If i were another man , i would not wish to be one that tried to tell me if , when or who i should vote for .
I 'am' a free man , i am my own man , i acquiesce  to no unlawful body or being .
Freedom is my right . I stand claim to that right , and i will not move from that claim .
Politicians claim power ! In fact they have (are in) office , not power .
A very different thing indeed , one which they have corrupted through greed for 'power' and for money .
I therefore 'choose ' , as is my right as a free man , not to give my vote to these theives and criminals that masquerade as 'our representatives' , but who in fact are , the fully owned and paid for puppets of the true ptb .

As long as you live by the law of this green and pleasant land you can be a free, if you believe you are told to vote then your forebears have wasted their lives which is such a shame as they gave you the right to vote.

If you believe those people are not worthy of your right to vote however that is a different matter at least you have the freedom to choose that!

I didn't say i believe that i am told to vote , i said " if i am told to vote , then i am not in a democracy " . My forbears gave me the right to choose as a free man , in that at least , they did not die for nothing .
As you say , but not how i would put it , they are not worthy of any vote .

I think we could vote good guy, joe blogs in, he starts with good intentions that are overruled buy big money people, like The supermarket chains, huge land owners etc and stuff they want to do is overruled, I understand but cannot explaine, in the small towns the main law belongs to the criminals with the biggest status But, they work above the law, so seen as god guys.......
I have met a few of them too,rich and powerful, good old Donald Trump  ( no fan of him by the way) is an example.


I cannot win no matter which way I vote, I have met many politicians too,they Have to appear nice, some are, it's a job that I would hate and one I would never have the opportunity to do, saying that, I lived a parallel life to a friend that did become a politician, I was too thick
