Afternoon all,

I may well win the Daft Question of the week award but, in the following scenario, where are the hens?
Example of a large portable chicken run and hen-house.

The run is moved to a new area for the hens to scratch around in. Then the hen house is also moved into the relocated enclosed run.
Are the hens all caught and "boxed" prior to the move and then released in the new location?
Are the hens left within the hen-house and gently moved to the new location (we are only talking a matter of 10's of yds)?

depends how open the area is.
I just let mine out to have a wander and scratch around & then when i have finished moving the pen (takes maybe an hour to break it down and rebuild the partitions) they just follow a trail of corn that i lay straight back into the new location.

I'd just leave them inside the house. Can't see why that would cause any problems

Ours are just let out to roam while we move their houses and runs. They usually find their way into their new home purely out of curiosity but a quick rattle of the corn bucket has them in like a shot.
