Has anybody out there got belted galloways i have heard that the beef is nice but don't know about there temperament could someone fill me in

I believe they're quite laid back, but my only experience is seeing them at shows as a child, haven't had the pleasure of owning any - unfortunately.

Wark Farm in aberdeenshire breed Belted Galloway's and they also sell at local farmers markets and from the farm once a month, you can also buy direct from them online.

I have visited the farm on one of its open days, done the tour, and bought beef, lamb and pork and its all yummy :-)

i am in ireland and have been quoted 1500 for yearling heifers. Does anybody have price comparisons. There is a lot of interest in them in ireland and i think only 4/5 breeders.

We buy in belties for our farm shop. Typically we pay £600-£700 for un-reg'd purebred stock. They are from the Blairs in Moneymore.
