Hello From Northern Ireland
« on: January 29, 2013, 09:10:32 pm »
Hi folks. I have been meaning to join this site for a while so here I am. :)
I am from northern ireland and am wanting to get more involved in small holding. I have been keeping hens now for over 3 years and loooove the free range eggs. I recently took the leap and bought 4 saddleback weaners last year. I am considering buying a sow now as well to keep for breeding and hopefully a couple of lambs for the freezer. So hopefully I can learn some valuable knowledge from everyone and share any that i have! Thanks!

Hello acrown

Which part of NI are you from? My husband's family are from Belfast so we go over there quite a lot. Also cousins in Coleraine and Bangor.

I'm really fond of the place and we seriously thought about smallholding over there. Husband didn't want to go back to the rain though. ;)

Hi Possum, I'm from sunny limavady. Just down the road from Coleraine actually!
It doesn't always rain! There's usually sunshine between the showers     :-J
