This is something I want to try to set up later this year. I wanted to have a go last year but other things got in the way. Anyway, at the moment I only have 3 horses , but I have access to as much cow manure as I want ( well as I talk a load of bull***t most of the time I would have !!!) . The video clip shows how to set everything up very cheaply and once I have had a go , I will set up a more permanent version of the setup .   Even then it is possible to do it all with secondhand kit , stuff collected for nothing.  The whole thing is really to setup and convert a waste product (manure, any type!) into methane for heating, cooking, whatever, and still have the waste product to use on the land at the end of process . Once up and running, 50-100 kg of manure would supply 16-24 hours of usable gas FOR FREE.....Anyway have a look at the clip , it is a two parter .  The dialogue isn't in English , but it tells you where you can read the English text  :
