Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the breed standards for Cream Crested Legbars, Black Orpingtons and Welsummners without paying £65 for "The Big Boys Bookd of Breed Standards"?

There are two ways:
either enquire with / join the specific breed clubs

or buy the "big boys book" 5th edition ( currently on 6th) for about £30 or less

the breed clubs are rightly fairly conservative and whilst there may be slight changes they wont be vast.

I would suspect you will get into other breeds so the big boys book is the way forward and then if you have found it usefull and have more breeds then  the 6th edition for a birthday / xmas present further down the line

I have a copy of the standards. I'm off away for a couple of weeks but when I get back I'm sure I can help  :)
Our holding has Anglo Nubian and British Toggenburg goats, Gotland sheep, Franconian Geese, Blue Swedish ducks, a whole load of mongrel hens and two semi-feral children.

....but the standards book is just soooooo good.  Well worth the money, fantastic pictures and tons and tons of info.  I just love going through it and seeing what else I could dream about having.
