Haylage Bales
« on: November 30, 2012, 06:25:37 pm »
Hi everyone.
I have to deliver some round haylage bales at the weekend and I have no idea how much they weigh. I dont want to overload my trailer so if someone could give me a rough idea of weight that would help me out a lot. I know its a stab in the dark because I imagine everyones bales will vary but lets here what people think.
Thanks.

Depends on the size of bale, how tightly baled and moisture content so somewhere between 250 - 400 kg as a very rough average.

I'll go with 400kgs then to be sure. They're well packed and good quality bales. Thanks for your help.

Ps If anyone is near to Matlock or Chesterfield and wants some haylage please give me a shout.
