Some sun would go a long way to cheering us all up.  :sunshine: :sunshine: :sunshine: :sunshine:

Supposed to be sunny tomorrow!

I'm just holed up for today. All my trees (in containers!) have blown over again. No use going out there now...

Hope everybody will be feeling better soon!

Changed the day around here, stewed the rose hips first and now in bag straining, rain gone off a bit so dogs in the car ready to go out.  TTFN

Glad your bad lucks are turning face and running, Rosemary.
I missed it this morning, Internet malfunctioned, then just sat in the bath after dropping kids off when phone call that oldest is vomiting in class  :tired: . Spent the rest of today cleaning up after him
Very wet and windy here now but at least Internet is on so I can have a TAS fix and find my day isn't anywhere near as bad as some of you

Sorry to hear you're having a sh*tty day Rosemary, but glad it's getting better.

It could have been worse. You could be one of our bull calves. Now they've had a really sh*tty day. It's gale force winds & lashing it down with sleet, hail stones & heavy rain. The poor boys have been de-balled & de-horned (first time we've had that done & I don't like it at all!) & then given a fluke jab for good measure. The plan was to wean the today as well, but they were looking so sorry for themselves that we'll put that off for a little while.

Still, the good news is that all 8 passed their TB tests & all 3 cows are confirmed in calf - so despite the weather, the fact that I've been out getting soaked all morning & that the road is impassable due to volume of water (looks like a white water rafting course) - it's a GOOD day! For me anyway!

Hope the day got better for you, Rosemary.   :bouquet: :bouquet: :bouquet:

Blowing a gale here. I reckon it travelled down from your direction as it wasn't here this morning - just windy.  I'm staying in until it clears, apart from brief venture out to do goats this evening.

Glad people's days are improving, well except for those with vomiting kids  :tired:
Yeh, those calves sound like they need their mummies at the moment Nickie  :cow:
Good news on van Dave

Weather stupendously dreadful here, flooded roads, sheets of water, very high winds. I'm done outside and I'm afraid the goats have had their light switched off early so I don't have to go back out. Not getting much from Rowan anymore so going to leave it til the morning now.

My wellies got stuck in the mud this morning whilst I was carrying a bucket in each hand. Why didn't I drop the buckets ??? ??? :dunce:  instead of going face first in the mud!! Could be something to do with the price of feed? :-\
Surely this weather can't stay for much longer :gloomy: :gloomy:
I too try to think of others. Folk living in cardboard boxes or shop doorways, folk who would be glad to swap their lives for mine, mud, s**t and all :tree:

It isn't always easy to 'count your blessings' when things are rotten and miserable, and it's good to come and have a whinge and get some sympathetic understanding too.

But yes, counting my blessings, muddy, messy and difficult though some of them are  ;) always makes me feel better when I get round to it.

Wind has dropped and the rain has stopped.  Those are blessings to be counted.

Bright here too :sunshine:  Long may it continue !
It's amazing how a few kind words, a good nights sleep and a bit of sun can make such a difference to how you feel (or how I feel)  ;) :-*

The sun may be out, but it's markedly colder today.... Brrrrrrrrrrrr. Feet are lumps of ice.
