There is a nice course at Acton Scott Historic Working Farm on March 6th, budding and grafting for fruit trees for beginners. a fabulous way of building up a stock of trees for a fraction of the price with the added satisfaction of doing the job yourself.

[/size] If they wish, participants are invited to bring their some of last year's growth from a favourite tree to work with on the day. The course is taught by nurseryman paul davis who owns a small nursery situated in the Towy valley near Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire where he grows and sells Welsh apple varieties and pear trees and traditional, English fruit trees. The course runs from 10 AM to 3.30 PM.
