Did The Earth Move For You?
« on: February 27, 2008, 09:48:42 am »
Did any one else get the tremors last night? we had a bit of after shock from the Earth quake they had over in Lincolnshire. At about 01.00 hrs this morning we were woken up by a load rumbling noise and the whole house shaking for a second or two. Most unusual sensation, it was like a train had rushed past the window an crashed into the outbuildings. I thought perhaps the chimney had been blown off or something worse. No apparent damage any where. I just wonder if the hens will lay any strange eggs today?. Anyone else get woken up, or have any unfortunate damage?

Hi Carl,

I spoke to a friend earlier today she & her husband heard a rumbling noise approx 2 mins to 1 & her parents felt the tremors in Blakeney, North Norfolk apparently her bed shook & so did the radiator on the wall  :o

:o it was quite a comical moment. coming out of a deep sleep and thoughts flashed through your mind. is someone stealing the bedroom furniture, has an aircraft or ufo crashed into the house, are there really ghosts. my oh went straight back to sleep but I had to get up just to check. son, alex, was fast asleep never noticed. lights were flicking on then off up the road.then everyone must have gone back to bed and it became very eerie. never a dull moment.

There was brief rumbling here - but it was just the milkman delivering the milk about 3pm. At that time in the morning, it could be anything.
