A wooden frame or old scaffold boards, weld mesh left over from chicken run, to stop the rats, hardcore then slabs when I find some FREE!!!....nice bit of recycling

Mhmm weldmesh. What size square, and what gauge?    Because it needs to be the heavy duty stuff, and even 1inch square s not probably enough to stop the rats.

1/2 inch by 1inch can't remember the gauge but they said rat and fox proof when I got it for the chook run.. Can but try.. If it don't work out comes the air rifle I do vermin control after all
