net a holly tree thats full of berries now, before the birds get them, for cutting and selling to florists for christmas! ;)

Do you have any idea if you can graft a female cutting or two onto a male tree ?.
we have six  males just over the back fence and no berries but not far away is a female with berries

i cant see why not.
ive a few trees here, last year only one produced berries, this year three have, i thought the other two were males.

Hi,I wish I had red this post back in october,there isan't a berry left on are tree now it was loaded then. :(

Made holly wreaths yesterday and OH had to walk miles to find berries  ;D . The ones that I had spotted had been stripped bare. Daughter says Redwings were the culprits.  ::) ;D

Snip some of the top branches (where the leaves are less prickly) and feed them to your sheep/cattle. :)
