Castlemilk Moorit Sheep for sale
« on: October 31, 2012, 07:36:45 pm »
Due to our landlord suddenly deciding that he does not want us to have sheep  >:( ???, we reluctantly offer our beautiful Castlemilk Moorits for sale.
7 breeding ews
1 ewe lamb
1 breeding ram
2 ram lambs
Will split up. Actually would prefer to split up as we are still hoping to find a little bit of land somewhere close so that we can at least keep some. But if someone wants the lot then we would consider that as well.
All very good pedigree, very high on line 1

I am so sorry to hear your news.  We have good friends with a flock who may be interested.  If it is okay with you, I will copy and send your message off to them.  They are based near me in the Forest of Dean.  Do you have details of the pedigree line for these sheep, Perdita?

Right, I have sent all the details to them, and have also let them know that we will be at your place next Thursday, should they be interested.  I promise to let you know as soon as I hear anything.  Feel for you.  It must be very hard.  hope you find a plot in the meantime.  :bouquet:

No replies from these friends, but spoke to other neighbours who say they are away this week.
Will keep trying.
See you Thursday.

I can't, I'm afraid, as we don't dare bring stock up from non-TB free areas  :(

I wish someone nearby to you could offer you B&B for them....

Wishing you luck.   :fc:

If nothing comes up maybe the RBST and/or Breed Soc would help you find homes for them?

I can't begin to say how I feel about how your landlord has treated you

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing
