This was Rory's first hack off the lead rein with Emma who is helping to break him in. All that long reining has been worth it as he is going forward from walk to trot and back to halt with no problems. Chloe came out for a few days so this morning she rode Rory while Emma rode Teka. I walked to make sure the girls were safe on the road. Some drivers are not good at slowing down but I give them no choice. Emma has also sat on Archie this week but until I get him back into long reins that is all she can do. He will be broken over the winter. I had more good news today, Avie who has Vinnie my piebald stallion in Shetland had him out on his first hack this morning so just delighted at that.
