wanted small holding to rent....
« on: October 12, 2012, 01:38:33 pm »
I have decided to take the plunge and see if I can rent a smallholding before buying one. So I wonder if anyone knows of anything that might help.
Been looking at greenshifters site & am investigating some of those.
I am looking for less than 10 acres and some barn storage(classic car).
I would prefer to stay local to where I am (Northampton, midlands) but I am realistic that I would have to move. Happy to do that but not north of Manchester - sorry Scotland.
Thanks for any help.

have you thought of starting small, to get the taste keep a couple of sheep on a couple of acres and build up from there. then know need to move from where you are.
when the revolution comes it will be a co-op

We are just weeks away from moving into a rented 2 acre smallholding.  We have been looking on and of since 2009.  We found ours through our local smallholders society as we both wanted to stay working in Lincoln.

Good luck  :fc:

Thanks for the info tizaala - great value but possibly a little too much land but trying to convince my OH to consider that far west anyway.
