Three 2yo Soay ewes to rehome. Near Lanark
« on: October 07, 2012, 02:41:12 pm »
I have been asked to help find a new home for three 2yo Soay ewes, from near Lanark in Scotland.   I don't know the seller nor have I seen the sheep, but it seems to be a genuine reason for selling (bought by daughter who is now getting married, parents cannot manage the sheep on their own and don't want to eat them)

The owners are keen for them to find new homes in time for the breeding season. The sheep are not registered with the RBST Combined Flock Book.   Two are described as 'brown' and the third as 'blonde' or 'white' - he couldn't decide which.

It sounds as if they have been well looked-after with regular care, and have been pets but not over petted.

Soays are wonderful little sheep both as pets and for breeding or cross-breeding for meat production.

If you are interested or want to discuss them further with the owner, please pm me in the first instance and I will give you his phone number.

I have spoken to the owner and agreed to collect this weekend.

Thanks for posting.
