So sorry to hear that George has  gone  :bouquet:

We had a dehydrated sow this summer - she just couldn't get enough fluids in what with the heat and feeding eight little ones. We had mixed results with using a watering can to pour water over her snout. What pulled her through in the end was goats milk squeezed in with a kid's feeding bottle.

Thanks to everyone you are all so kind and supportive - I never thought I would grieve so much and probably will always be looking for the answer to "Could I have done more"?

My daughter gave us some strength last night when we rang her to share the news and she said " Mum try not to be sad - George was the start of  "The  Adventure" and that is how we will remember him.

Thanks again

Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing
