Rubber chippings

Hi all,   just a quick question,   we've just been reading the country smallholding magazine and saw an article about using rubber chippings instead of wood chips, gravel etc in a duck enclosure.   Have any of you used them?    The article says they are fab but just wanted to know what a few other people thought before spending a few hundred pounds!

Thanks as always for any replies
