Anyone Looking for a Collie Puppy in Devon?
« on: September 27, 2012, 03:16:20 pm »

I've received an email from someone I purchase hatching eggs from:

Our lovely red & white collie Meg had a litter of puppies in August. Planned this time, but we are looking to find homes for 3 still if you know of anyone who may be looking. Meg is our most reliable working collie, good with sheep and particularly poultry, nice and calm but also the most affectionate of our 3. Dad was a friend's blue merle, also a working collie with sheep and cattle.

The ideal home would be in the country offering lots of space to run and exercise as collies have abundant energy! They are from working lines but several of our previous puppies have gone on to excel on the agility circuit too.

They will be weaned, wormed and ready to go to new homes at 8 weeks on the weekend of 13/14th October. Viewings welcome, come for a cuddle!

....there is a:

Tri-colour female (very cute and loves a cuddle)
Red and white male (darker brown than Meg  was at this age, quiet and considered)
Blue-merle male (simply gorgeous, unusual markings and cheeky)

All 3 have blue eyes still but this is likely to change as they approach  8-10 weeks of age. They are on solid food now, eating 'Beta puppy'

Please pm me if you would like further details.

They sound lovely! Will ask around.

If they are interested in agility homes- there is a classifieds bit on agilitynet.co.uk. Also letting the local agility clubs know there are puppies might be an idea? Would LOVE one but at the moment 3 dogs is enough!  :dog: :)

Old and rare breed Ducks, chickens, geese, sheep, guinea pigs, 3 dogs, 3 cats, husband and chicks brooding in the tv cabinate!
