Avocado's

Are they safe for pig's to eat ? My greengrocer has kindly given me a box of fruit and veg for my pig's, which contains 20 or so avocado's. I know they are toxic to chickens, so thought I should check before feeding them to the pigs.  :pig:

Our two spit the stones out knowing that if they tough it out better times will prevail but beyond that I'm afraid I cannot help......

With pigs I work on the rule if a vegetarian can eat it they can.  Except chocolate!

Well its fattening, and I am not sure it may be poisonous to pigs of course that could be a chocoholic old wives tale!!!

And its a waste of good chocolate. may be worth checking if the stone contains any nasty chemicals.

Forgot to add parsnips, as they can cause blisters in the mouth when consumed in large quantities.  Not really a problem but plays hell with the local DEFRA as they start to panic at the thought of F&M
