Feeling smug!

Finally have the computer back and feeling rather smug about Miss Megatron (Light Sussex)

She had a nasty prolapse and hadn't laid for yonks.

We considered chicken curry (with old boot) and opted for a prolapse clean, shove back in and spray with Vetricyn. If it popped out again she was tea and she was given until the end of September to lay or make way for a new hen.

She not only looks great but 3 days ago she started laying again and has done 3 days in a row!

Hurrah!  :excited:
Miniature Falabella, Pygmy Goat, 2 Glouster Old Spots, 1 Long Island Red, 1 Light Sussex, 1 Dark Sussex, 1 Silkie, 1 Magpie Duck and hopefully some more chicks and ducklings due to hatch soon!

Thats really good news.
We fixed a prolapse on ours but she never laid (she had never previously laid as had the prolapse early) and then she died recently  :(  a few months after it happened. I don't know why she died as the prolapse hadn't reocurred as far as I could see.
