I received the following email a few days ago. If anyone out there is interested in getting involved, please contact Rebecca. Come on now, don't be shy. If you get on radio - rememebr to metion TAS!!
"I work for BBC Radio Scotland’s conversation and features programmes. We are looking to make a series of radio programmes about the new generation of people looking to live the good life and live as a small holder, or a greenshifter, titled The New Good Life.
I am looking for families, couples or individuals who have decided to turn their back on the city and busy lives to see if they can survive a downshift to the country and live as sustainably as possible. We are interested in new smallholders who have been prompted by the current economic situation to escape “the rat race” and live a simpler life.
Ideally the people we interview would also be Scottish, or at least have moved to Scotland to follow their dream.
At the moment I am researching who might be suitable for an interview.
The programme would take a maximum of an hour to record and we would probably record the interview in the contributors own home or environment.
If you knew anyone that might fit this criteria, please pass on my details, or forward me theirs and I can call them.
Many thanks
Rebecca"
