Another vote for Berkshires here (first time pig keeper for a whole 6 weeks!  :roflanim:)  I LOVE THEM.

Robert it's Sitka spruce would that be poisonous? The area usually stays dry ie 2 ft of snow everywhere and only 3mm covering in there. PP you've see the area we're on about - I've had no luck talking OH into this in the past but now he's seriously considering it  :fc:


it d be fine, im sure, but i can come and have a look again - any excuse to see poopee again!!
mine dont root much under the trees as the tree roots keep the soil together more than just regular land. meat pigs r just a short term venture, if it doesnt suit u, u can just send em away sooner. they only need somewhere for 4 mths. if it doesnt work out, u can bring the blighters here to finish.
